TRISUN Care Center Westwood, located at 801 Cantwell Lane in Corpus Christi, provides individualized medical rehabilitation in a beautiful, home-like setting. Our healthcare staff consists of a group of trained professionals dedicated to meeting the needs of each resident. A full-time activity director is on staff to provide daily fun and to facilitate movement opportunities for all residents. The common areas are warm and inviting and provide a comfortable setting for residents and visitors alike. Delicious meals are served in the dining room three times daily, with snacks available at other times of the day. Specialized care focuses on all aspects of the individual, including physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
In addition to traditional skilled and long-term care, we also have a Special Care Unit at TRISUN Care Center Westwood, designed to enhance the quality of life for those with memory impairments and other forms of dementia. Success-oriented activities, a secure and supportive environment and a dedicated, well-trained staff are the cornerstones of the unit-helping to promote residents' independence and preserve their dignity and self-esteem.

Our skilled nursing residents benefit from a wide array of services:
* 24-hour specialized nursing care
* Physical and occupational therapy
* Speech/language pathology
* Respiratory therapy
* Laboratory, x-ray, and other diagnostic services
* Nutritional management
* Social services and case management
* Recreation program
Each skilled nursing resident will receive an individualized treatment plan designed for optimum recovery. Goals are set for each resident by an interdisciplinary team comprised of the resident and/or family members, the participant's physician and our health-care professionals. Weekly team meetings are held to review the progress of the resident and re-evaluate the treatment plan.
Once the goals have been achieved or the team determines the resident is no longer progressing through the treatment program, he/she will be discharged home or to an environment that will best meet their needs.
