Silver Pines Nursing & Rehabilitation is a 120 bed nursing care facility, boasting the leadership of a qualified administrator with 18 years long term care experience and a director of nurses with 20 years business/nursing experience. As a nursing facility, we are dedicated to providing quality care for those who rely upon us for their health care needs. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Administration, and Private Pay Residents.

Silver Pines recognizes that residents have social and emotional needs in addition to physical needs. For this reason, we offer a wide range of activities (including individual in-room activities, as well as group activities) and social events, resulting in rich opportunities for entertainment on a regular basis. Local bus services provide residents with opportunities for local outings to nearby shopping centers and physicians offices, as well as other destinations of choice. The facility also enjoys the benefit of having an active family council, and State certified ombudsman.

The Silver Pines social services department ensures that supplementary services, such as in-house optometry and podiatry services are available. Dental services are also readily accessible, provided by a dentist experienced in addressing the dental needs of the geriatric client. Social services also function to help with the individual's transition into the nursing facility, establishing consultations with psychological and psychiatric services as desired by the resident and/or family. The obvious goal of these additional services is to ensure a whole-person approach to resident care.

Silver Pines offers all rehabilitative services including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech/language therapy. Our therapy team treats every patient on a case by case basis and determines an individualized plan of care to maximize independence and functional abilities. Many patients who enter the facility for rehabilitative services return home within two to six months of entering into the rehab program. Some focuses of therapy include maximizing balance, strength and endurance, gait training, activities of daily living, training on use of adaptive equipment, increasing fine motor skills, addressing cognitive skills such as memory and problem-solving, speech/language skills, and swallowing/feeding abilites. We also boast a certified wound care specialist onsite who focuses solely on wound care.
