Pinehurst Nursing and Rehabilitation, proudly serving Orange County since September 24, 1964, is licensed to serve 111 residents. The facility is certified to accept Medicare and Medicaid, Private Pay and Insurance. Our Facility is an important part of Orange History and an active community participant. It was the first facility to offer skilled care, Medicare and Veterans services.

We are located at 3000 Cardinal Drive, Orange Texas 77630, only 3 blocks from the Hospital and the Doctors Professional Building and 2 blocks from a shopping center. Transportation to and from Physicians and other medical offices is available by the wheelchair accessible van.

The average employee tenure is 11 years, and that makes for a dedicated staff that takes pride in the care they provide.

Rehabilitative Services include in-house Licensed Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapist with follow-up by restorative aides to bring residents to their maximum level of functioning.

Trained Dietary Staff under the direction of a Licensed Dietitian, plan and serve nutritional meals and three snacks per day as well as therapeutic diets as ordered by a physician. Alternate meal choices or substitutions are offered at each meal.

Social services are provided by a Licensed Social Worker. Advanced clinical practitioner, psychological and psychiatric counseling services are also available.

A varied activity program administered by a certified Activity Director offers numerous daily activities. Residents enjoy around town shopping trips to stores of their choices, trips to the local Casinos 13 miles away, and special community events.

They especially enjoy “Beauty Shop Day” every Tuesday when a group of volunteers come and Shampoo and set hair, cut hair, give perms, polish nails and socialize with them at no cost to the residents. This was began by the “Red Cross-Grey Ladies” in 1968 and continues today. There is still a couple of the original ladies that come out.
