Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation is the only locally owned and operated skilled nursing facility in Big Spring. As a result, our staff is very family oriented. We furnish cable in each room, as well as phone jacks where residents can have a phone at their expense. We want all our residents to feel at home while with us.

Our Goal is to create a true home where quality service is provided to reach the individual needs of every resident; a place where compassionate care is given and where services are tailored to individual needs.

Our Mission through our Quality Assurance Program, is to dedicate ourselves to meet the individual needs of each resident with a continuous commitment to tailor our nursing and related services while providing a nurturing and homelike environment.

Activities:

We offer an activity program geared toward meeting the interest and capabilities of our residents. These activities include games, arts and crafts, exercise, and religious services. We have a fully equipped hair salon on the premises.

We provide shopping and periodic trips outside the facility as well. Most importantly, we listen to our residents to provide suggested activities.

Rehabilitation:

Our facility contracts, in house, full range of therapy programs including speech, physical, and occupational. Our residents are provided with the disciplines they need to help residents reach their rehab goals and design restoration programs to allow each resident to attain higher levels of functioning and enhance the life of each resident. We provide private home-like rooms for those residents utilizing their Medicare Part A benefits for short term rehab.

The goal of an individualized rehabilitation program is to help the resident obtain optimal level of functioning physically, socially, and psychologically.

Dietary Services:

We consider good nutrition and attractive meals to be an essential part of our services to the resident. Our dietary professionals take pride in serving meals that are nutritious. After careful resident assessments, individual diets are developed to meet the special dietary requirements of each resident according to their doctorâ€™s orders.
