Kristi Lee Manor was built in 1972 and opened as a privately owned nursing home under the name of Claxton Lodge. On August 1, 1978 Kristi Lee Manor Inc. started operating the facility. The name was changed to Kristi Lee Manor; however, it remained privately owned, as it still does to this day.
Over the years there have been several administrators and key personnel who have came and gone until Clark Moody took over in 1978. He still remains the administrator today. Judy Ingram, a licensed administrator and co-owner of Kristi Lee Manor, came to work in January 1979 as the assistant administrator. Gary White is also a licensed administrator and is an assistant administrator. Gary has worked for the owners since 1992.
Terri Owens, director of nurses, has been here since 1984. LaNette Hernandez, our Activity Director, has been at Kristi Lee since 1989.
Stability of key personnel is one of the main reasons for the excellent care given at Kristi Lee Manor.
Kristi Lee Manor, Inc. is a State Licensed nursing home, approved by the Texas Department of Human Services.
The purpose of Kristi Lee Manor, Inc. is to furnish our residents a safe, wholesome, and comfortable place in which to live with a home-like atmosphere in quiet surroundings with all the modern conveniences possible.
Men and women, including married couples may enter Kristi Lee without age restrictions. We admit and treat all residents, ambulatory or bedfast, without regard to race, color, creed or national origin. Only those residents whose needs can be met by Kristi Lee will be accepted. Those who may not be considered for admission are those with illness of such nature that the facilities of the home would not be considered inadequate to give proper care.
Every effort is made to assure comfort and safety for our residents. Handrails have been provided on both sides of all halls. Grab bars are in all bathrooms. Bed rails are available for use when needed. A nurse call system is provided for each resident and in each bathroom. Kristi Lee has modern heating and cooling systems for year‑round climate control. An emergency lighting system has been provided as well as a fire alarm system with sprinklers and smoke doors.
