We are located in the historic town of Kingsville,Texas, home of the world famous King Ranch, Texas A&M University Kingsville and the U. S. Naval Air Station - Kingsville, one of the largest advanced jet-training facilities in the United States.
We have been providing the finest skilled nursing home care to the people of Kingsville and the surrounding area since November of 1999, and we strive to be the facility of choice of our community. Our 120-bed Medicare and Medicaid certified center offers 24-hour nursing care, dietary services, comprehensive rehabilitation services, daily activities, social services, laundry services, and transportation services. Amenities include a bright, clean environment, semi-private rooms, diningroom, a spacious therapy room, beauty/barber salon, whirlpool, Wander Guard security system, big screen TV and a large outdoor area.
Our nursing staff includes registered nurses (RN), licensed vocational nurses (LVN), certified nurses aides, certified medication aides (CMA), and restorative nurse aides (RNA). In addition to the floor staff there is an administrative team to assist with the coordination and plan of care for our residents. The team consists of the Director of Nurses, Assistant Director of Nurses for Staffing, Medicare Nurse and the Assessment Nurse. This allows the staff time to place more focus on the individual resident's care. This also allows the Director of Nurses to be actively involved with the care of each resident. Kingsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center emphasizes physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies to promote strength and independence, and, with that, many of our residents have been able to return home with a better quality of life.
We also pride ourselves on meeting the social needs of our residents which is why community and family members are included in the overall care of the residents. The goal of social services is to assess the emotional and psychosocial needs of the residents. Our social worker works with the residents, family and staff to offer comfort and reassurance to those in need, and help the resident deal with the emotional stress of transitioning from home life to nursing facility life. Assessments for psychological treatment, or community outreach programs are also coordinated through the social services department.
Kingsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides many activities that are designed to meet the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial needs of each resident. All program activities are coordinated by our activity department. We offer activities for residents and the community such as interdenominational church services, arts and crafts, hobbies, bingo, community and family socials and resident field trips. Please call us if you have questions or would like to schedule a tour of our facility. We look forward to introducing you to our caring and professional staff!
