We have been a part of the Brownwood Community for over 30 years. We provide private and semi-private rooms, free cable, laundry and housekeeping services, interesting activities, great food, excellent nursing care, exceptional therapy and generous amounts of love and care! We are conveniently located across the street from the Brownwood Hospital Emergency Room, Walker Cancer Center and Brownwood Renal Care.

We provide both short & long term nursing care. We encourage participation from the resident and family because this greatly improves the chances for a successful outcome. Our resident care is accomplished through a quality team of professionals consisting of Certified Nurse Aides, Medication Aides, Licensed Vocation Nurses, and Registered Nurses. We thoroughly screen each person before they are hired and we conduct regular performance reviews and skills proficiency reviews to make sure they maintain their skills thereafter.

When we hire someone new our screening process includes: criminal background checks with the Texas Department of Public Safety, sex offender registry checks, and checks with their licensing agency to see if there are any complaints or charges pending on their license. We perform drug testing on employees for any reasonable suspicions of drug use. Our policy for drug and alcohol use is ZERO TOLERANCE and immediate termination for any violation. We usually have staff that is Spanish speaking to aide in interpreting what your loved ones need. We do all these things so you can have trust and confidence in the people responsible for you or your loved ones care.

INTERESTED IN A PRIVATE ROOM?

If you have Medicare and you come to us for your rehabilitation and hospital recovery, you get a large private room all to yourself. The room is comfortably furnished and includes a TV with free cable, and a private bathroom. The same type of arrangement is also available for Hospice patients. We are the only nursing home in the area that provides this service. Come by for a tour and give us a chance to show ourselves off.

REHABILITATION is one of our specialties and it is part of our name for a good reason. We specialize in getting your loved one rehabilitated so they can return home. There is truly “no place like home” and we make it our business to help you achieve the strength and skills necessary to return home. Our record shows our success rate that 3 out of every 4 of our rehabilitation patients are able to return home or to an assisted living facility. Compare that success rate with those of other nursing homes that offer rehabilitation services. Ask them what percentage of rehab patients they have sent back home.

We also encourage you to see our “letters of testimony” from our former residents and see what they have had to say about us. We want to help everyone achieve his or her highest level of independence and functioning. We have a fully equipped therapy room and a highly experienced and professional therapy staff. We provide physical, occupational, and speech therapist who are available Monday - Friday. Family involvement is extremely helpful and encouraged in the rehabilitation process. There is no doubt that the more a family is involved, the greater the chance for a successful outcome.
