The goal of Baptist Retirement Community has always been to provide the best in housing and health care for senior adults beginning with early retirement and continuing through the lifetime of an individual. We seek to maintain a balance between the retirement and the medical options.
Variety - that's what make us unique. Several housing options exist for individuals seeking a safe, secure and independent lifestyle. From apartment type living in our Henley-Mabee Residence to completely custom built homes located in our North Gate Estates, we have an environment sure to please anyone.
Our Retirement Village is made up of a wide variety of homes and town homes. Few, if any, retirement campuses offer our unique array of living arrangements and there are several entry options to choose from. Maintenance free living, a top notch safety staff, Personal Assistance Services available in the home for a fee, membership in our volunteer auxiliary, and transportation services are just a few of the many reasons to join our community of over 400 folks who live in our Retirement Village. Healthcare Center
The Healthcare Center at Baptist Retirement Community provides long-term care for individuals who are in need of 24-hour care. The facility is certified to provide care for those individuals who qualify for Medicare and Medicaid. The Medicare program is limited in the scope of care that will be provided. We have round-the-clock nursing care. Dietary needs are determined in cooperation with patient's doctor, the dietitian, and the dietary staff.
Baptist Healthcare Center has an excellent nursing staff composed of local doctors representing all the medical specialties. Each resident is admitted to the Center under the care of a doctor of their choice as long as the doctor meets the requirements for service in a long-term care facility.
At the present time we have 210 beds in our nursing facility. The cost of the individual patient is cared for in one of three ways.
1. Private pay, in which the patient is responsible for the total cost of care;
2. Medicaid, in which the fee is set by the Texas Department of Human Resources; and
3. Medicare, for those who are medically eligible.
There are insurance policies written by reputable companies that will cover the costs of long-term or custodial care.
The coverage cost ranges from $2,550 to $3,450. The different levels of medical care needs determine the final cost.
From time to time there is a delay in the availability of a room. During those times the staff will try to help locate suitable alternatives.
