Good Samaritan Society - Denton Village is on 27 beautifully landscaped acres close to shopping, services and attractions. The retirement community has grown from its inception in 1976 to include 95 apartments, 58 twinhome/triplex units, a modern healthcare center and a 14-unit assisted living center. Senior housing residents can choose between rental and entry fee payment options, and may also choose the number of meals they wish to enjoy in the lovely Tuscan decor dining room. Local transportation is provided.

The town of Denton, which is the county seat of Denton County, is home to both Texas Women's University and the University of North Texas. Both universities offer rich cultural opportunities as well as widely recognized programs related to aging, which offers a rich resource for well-qualified staff members. Many residents are graduates of one or both universities, and retired professors and college administrators join many other professionals from all over the United States to comprise a delightful resident population.
Good Samaritan Society - Denton Village provides a holistic activities program for each of its residential sectors. These programs are led by certified activity directors and operate within the broader context of life enrichment for every resident. The Village is served by Good Samaritan Society - Lake Forest Home Care (our home health agency), and the healthcare center enjoys using state-of-the-art equipment. Good Samaritan Society - Denton Village, along with all of our locations nation-wide, is participating in a two-year Advancing Excellence campaign to enhance the quality of care of the nursing services in our health care center. Results are tracked in this voluntary program. More information can be obtained from the website, www.nhqualitycampaign.org. Occupational, physical and speech therapies are provided. The health center beds are Medicare and Medicaid certified.

Denton County is on the famous Chisholm Trail, and is second only to Lexington, Ky., in the number of thoroughbred horses it raises. Rustic ranches, historic iron bridges and herds of longhorn cattle offer authentic backdrops for many western movies and television shows (such as Bonnie and Clyde and Walker: Texas Ranger). Many sights and attractions of Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area are just minutes away. For more information on the services we offer, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
